Kyle & Elizabeth`s Country Bliss

I never posted this wedding, but it was so simply beautiful and very close to my heart! I had the privilege of photographing my cousin Elizabeth's wedding. We met up downtown at James Brett for hair, and then made our way back to my Aunt Johanne and Uncle Charlie's house in Tamworth to have the girl's makeup done and get dressed. There is something so inviting about country living. As we stopped for coffee and gas on the way back, everyone knew Elizabeth, knew about the wedding, congratulated her. There is something wonderful about knowing everyone and having everyone know you in the little town where you live. We were welcomed back to the house with an amazing spread of sandwiches, snacks, treats, and drinks. It was a warm September day, with the windows open and a breeze drifting through the house, mingled with country music coming from the radio. The girls bustled around, taking turns at the makeup table, snacking, and giggling a lot.

Elizabeth married her finance Kyle, in the Old Hay Bay Church on a beautiful September afternoon. It was the same church where Kyle's parents were married at. The ceremony went smoothly, and had such a warm and inviting feel. There were so many special, little details which tied everything together. The bridal party was transported from the church to Kyle's parent's house by a horse and buggy. The kids at the wedding were so excited at the sight of the horses! The Mack's opened up their farmhouse to the Elizabeth and Kyle's wedding guests for drinks and appetizers, while we used it as a backdrop for their photos.

From the stunning colour of the bridesmaid's dresses, to the fact that the groomsmen wore casual shirts, jeans, and fancy belt buckles, everything fit together so nicely. It was one of those weddings where you feel right at home, and genuinely have a great time while photographing. You could feel the happiness and love that everyone had for Liz and Kyle, and it was a great party after everything was said and done! Congrats Liz and Kyle!
