How Can You Not Smile?

Silly boys. I am still trying to figure out why boys do some of the things that they do. I believe that the boy's mind is very unique. Grant and his buddy Reed have always loved to play with each other. Surprisingly, they tend to find mischief together. These photos just make me smile.

Sing, Dance, Smile

I met Susie and her daughter Carolyn several years ago in a Kindermusik class that I took with my son Grant. Kindermusik is a magical place where you sing, say rhymes, dance and move with your child. Right away you know that you share a love of music with the other moms in the class. I wish that I could go to Kindermusik classes every week with my sons. I was so happy when Susie contacted me to take some photographs of her little girl.

"A daughter is... ...your greatest source of pride and your greatest hope for the future... The happiest moment of your life was the day she was introduced to the world."
-- Bettie Meschler

I know that this is exactly how Susie feels about her daughter Carolyn. Susie herself is an amazing example of a stong, intelligent, and fearless woman. What a great example for her daughter to follow.

Miss Abigail

Miss Abigail is the daughter of my husband's cousin Natasha. It is always extra special when I am able to photograph family. Natasha couldn't be more in love with her daughter. Abigail is surrounded with people who love her. Words can't describe how wonderful it is to hold a newborn - their movements, their smell, their noises...

She is beautiful Natasha!

I just love my little man...

His extreme cuteness allows him to get away with alot...even from the beginning.

Robert & Erin Tie the Knot

Robert and Erin were another out of town couple who had to plan their Kingston wedding from Alberta. Luckily Erin had a wonderful mother and some helpful sisters ready to make her dream wedding a reality. They were such a warm and welcoming family!

A cute story about Erin and Robert is that they met at a meat auction - I had never even heard of a meat auction, let alone it being a place to meet the man of your dreams! They even had a mini meat auction in between the speeches at their reception, it was a hit - especially with the guy who went home with a pot roast!

Erin and Robert had a unique idea for a special gift to give to their guests. They wanted me to take a picture of everyone outside of the church after their ceremony, and they wanted to print off copies of that picture for people to take home at the end of the night. After thinking through the logistics of this we made it happen and the picture was a hit!

Their wedding was full of fun and laughs. I really enjoyed being a part of their day. Congrats!

Sisters

A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost. ~Marion C. Garretty

One of my Favourites

I love how this moment was captured forever....it makes me long for lazy summer days at the cottage.

I remember that I was tired on this day and I almost did not run to get my camera when I noticed Grant playing in the long grass. There was something about the late day light that made me do it. I am glad that I did because the next weekend after I took this photo, all of the long grass has been cut.

Baby Beal Number Four

I met Shannon and Mack when we were both pregnant with our first baby in prenatal class. Their pink baby, Ada, and our blue baby, Grant are only three days apart. It is hard to believe that was five years ago. Well, Shannon and Mack have had three more beautiful little babes since then (Van, Layla and new baby Joni). Congrats guys, you are blessed to have such happy and healthy kids.

Mike & Emily Tie the Knot

Mike & Emily had a difficult job of planning their wedding from out of town, but in the end everything turned out perfectly. It was a beautiful sunny day, with just a slight wind. Her family home was full of character and sat on acres of amazing farmland, the perfect place for the girls to get ready. They were married in an outdoor ceremony at the Loyalist Golf and Country Club. It was a perfect blend of golf, family, and friends.
