Beautiful Day

Another beautiful day in September! We have been blessed with 'summer' weather throughout September and October now, let's hope that it continues:)

I have been photographing this family for over three years now, and I absolutely love getting together with them every time. Dawn is a good friend, and I have the pleasure of teaching her eldest daughter Mikaela piano lessons, so when you can mix your personal and professional lives together it's always a bonus. Dawn is also the heart behind an annual fundraiser that she coordinates to support finding a cure for juvenile diabetes, which you can see here.

Dawn had approached me about doing a family session, but including her sister, and parents as well. This has been the summer for families making the time to get together. We met up downtown on a beautiful Sunday morning this past September. As usual, everyone was such a good sport, and they were up for anything from climbing trees to jumping off ledges. I'm not sure who were the bigger kids, the little ones or the big ones

Lovely Ladies

I had the pleasure of crossing paths with Kandis while doing one of my most favourite things...getting my hair done. Kandis worked with my hair stylist, the amazing Tamara. Going to Tamara's is like going to the spa! From the minute that you walk into Tamara's salon you feel welcomed and pampered. There is never a shortage of laughs and giggles, and usually a little wine, tea and munchies too. Visiting with Tamara and Kandis was such a treat!

Sadly Kandis and her girls moved to Brockville so Tamara wanted to do something special for her before she left. Tamara asked me to take some pictures of Kandis and her beautiful girls. So we headed out to Lemoine's Point one Saturday afternoon. Kandis' girls are so precious. They were a little shy at first, but by the end they were very giggly and chatty. The perfect end to a wonderful session are the hugs that I often get from the kids. That is one of the best parts of my job.

Baby Beal Number Four

I met Shannon and Mack when we were both pregnant with our first baby in prenatal class. Their pink baby, Ada, and our blue baby, Grant are only three days apart. It is hard to believe that was five years ago. Well, Shannon and Mack have had three more beautiful little babes since then (Van, Layla and new baby Joni). Congrats guys, you are blessed to have such happy and healthy kids.

I am a sucker for my boys. There is nothing better than their hugs and kisses!

Baby to Big Girl

It is always extra special when it is a friend who brings in their newborn for photos. Catherine and I taught together several years ago, and we have both moved onto to different schools, so it is always nice to catch up. Catherine and Sean brought Caitlin for photos when she was just seven days old. She was perfect! Caitlin came back for a six month session, and then again at one year. It is amazing to see these little bundles grow into their own little person. Cathy and Sean, Caitlin is adorable! I am looking forward to another session with her soon.
