Adam & Annie

Usually I meet with my wedding clients several times before their actual wedding day, so it's always a little different when the only communication that I have with the bride and groom is through email for months and months. Annie and Adam live in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (they got married in Kingston because that's where both of them grew up), and they weren't back in Ontario until a week before the wedding. When I popped by Annie's parents house the Thursday before the wedding, it was so nice to finally put a face to a name. They are both so laid back and relaxed. Annie and Adam were so excited to be getting married, but it became very obvious to me that next to the ceremony, the next most important thing was that they wanted their guests to have a wonderful time.

Their wedding had such a intimate feeling, and I felt right at home from the moment that I arrived. Everything was to be held in Annie's parent's backyard, the food was all prepared by family members, Annie's grandmother officiated the ceremony, her sister decorated the cakes, as you can see it was definitely a family affair. And, most of the guests lived within walking distance to the Casson home - how awesome is that! We stuck close to home and only ventured to the front lawn for pictures. This wedding was amazingly beautiful with a touch of whimsy mixed in.

Congratulations Adam and Annie. It was a pleasure to photograph your wedding and to have the opportunity to meet all of your family and friends. You are truly blessed to have so many people in your lives who care about you as much as they do. I hope that you enjoy your sneak peak.

Aren't these kids adorable!
